“I think about the natural world not as an expendable resource but as a memory of home, the subject of longing and dreams. And I am fascinated by vessels, the egg, the nest, the bowl, the landscape, the sky- the parts of nature that hold and contain, whether natural or man-made.”

Woodside/Braseth Gallery is proud to host our first solo exhibition by the nationally recognized and brilliant realist painter, David Kroll.

David Kroll received his BFA at the San Francisco Art Institute in 1980 and his MFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

David’s career has spanned over 30 years and he has exhibited nationally and participated in over 130 exhibitions.

We hope you will come celebrate this inaugural exhibition of recent paintings by David Kroll and the new major publication “David Kroll: Paintings”.

This well deserved book beautifully features paintings throughout his career along with the insightful writings of Linda Tesner, curator and director of the Ronna and Eric Hoffman Gallery of Contemporary Art at Lewis & Clark College in Portland Oregon and of James Yood, professor of modern and contemporary art history at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
